COMBO 4500-Graft Hair Transplant Case | Four-Angle Record from Forehead to Crown
A non-Taiwanese man in his 40s came to Dr. Wen-Yi Wu for a hair transplant assessment because of extensive thinning from the forehead to the crown whorl. He hoped to address both the frontal outline and crown coverage as far as his donor supply allowed. This case was planned with COMBO, a combination of FUE and FUT, at 4,500 grafts, and the images record the frontal hairline, central scalp and crown whorl before and after surgery. How Are 4,500 Grafts and the COMBO Technique Assessed?
The doctor checks the extent of hair loss at the forehead, central scalp and crown whorl, and assesses donor density at the back of the scalp, scalp elasticity, hair calibre and the risk of future hair loss, then discusses whether to harvest by FUE, FUT or a combination of both and which areas to prioritise. 4,500 grafts is the record for this case, not a standard recommendation for everyone.
